How to Update Digimaster 3 EBOOT and Kernel

Update kernel of yanhua digimaster 3 was newly added (one key through updating kernel by SD card), we made some modification on EBBOT program.

Digimaster 3 EBOOT Update:

Click button “8” and “OK” together, then “Press OK to confirm, and if the button “continue update Firmware” appears, it means your device EBOOT program is old version, you need to firstly update EBOOT program and choose a convenient way to update Digimaster 3 kernel.

After update EBOOT, it is necessary to update kernel.

Tips: Before update EBOOT, please instal D3 TOOL first.

Step 1: Click button “8” and “OK” together, then power on. The indication of “Press OK to continue and ESC to cancel” will appear on the screen. Press “OK” into Renovation.

Step 2: “Found new hardware” is found in the system when you connect USB cable with the PC.

Step 4: If DIGIMASTER 3 has been installed already, choose the second “SEC SOC SMDK Board” in dialog box, and click “Next” to complete driver installation.

Step 6: Indication ” USB connect succeed “will appear as below after the USB is connected.

Step 7: click “Kernel Update”, choose “EBOOT_20110427.bin” then click “OK” to start digimaster 3 price program update.

Step 8: After 10sec. the DIGIMASTER 3 screen appears a twinkling red ‘YH’ logo which means EBOOT update is complete.

After update obd2 odometer correction EBOOT successfully, please turn the power off and choose an appropriate way to update the kernel.

TIPS: Please unload the anti-virus software and firewall temporarily in order to run the software normally.

As a brief description, an car diagnostic is an electronic device that can be used to diagnose, interface and even partially reprogram a vehicle’s control module. Scanners in particular perform the same functions as a diagnostic code reader, except they also give the user additional diagnostic information, and can perform functional tests on the vehicle. They’re designed to function in tandem with your car’s on-board computer system, which itself monitors engine emissions controls and systems whilst your car is in use. The first generation of On-board diagnostic (OBD) tools were developed in the 1980’s, originally as an expensive diagnostic option only really available for professional mechanics.

Throughout the decade, automotive scanners were produced in the United States, using various cables and adaptors that would be compatible with certain car models, makes and their respective years. The first commercially available code readers hit car part stores in and around 1989, but it was only in 1996 that the automotive industry lost their exclusive ability over vehicle on-board diagnostic systems, with further standardization of the technology caused by stricter federal regulations.

The presence of two generations of on-board diagnostic systems, OBD-I and OBD-II, are intrinsically linked to this change in regulations, and a combined effort to clean up our air. The “gas attack” in Los Angeles during the summer of 1943, as well as the proliferation of lethal smog in London in 1952 were two environmental episodes that turned the business culture of voluntary emissions regulations into one of national requirement. The autel scanner in use at the time served fine in letting drivers know if their vehicle had a malfunction, but from an emissions point of view there were some serious flaws, to the point where your vehicle could be spitting out raw unburned fuel out of its tailpipe and neither you nor the computer would have any idea! I just checked my OBD2 scan tool Tech II clone against my 2006 C6. In the ABS section there is an “Automated Bleed” option. In the Radiosection there is a “VIN Relearn” option. I’ve never actually used either one, but I bet it works.
The Tech II clone is literally running the same software as the GM Tech 2 Scanner, so it has all the same functions. There are a few caveats: the standard clone power supply will cause the unit to reset if you run the starter motor, apparently, though this can be fixed. Also, operating while tethered to a PC involves a bunch of licensing hacks and other nonsense. But you only need to do that if you want to flash the ECU firmware.
The Tech II lets you see (and individually reset) all the DTCs from all the modules. It also has a bunch of special functions and bidirectional capabilities.
It’s great as a standalone diagnostics tool but it isn’t intended to modify ECU parameters like tuning software does. This is a tool for fixing the car, not modifying it.

same problem as recording images to the memory card via the Tech 2 and TIS

Hello everyone. A few days ago saw that often face the same problem as recording images to the memory card via the Tech2 Scan Tool and TIS.

Initially I thought this is a typical problem with MAX232, only a little deeper, I saw that the Tech 2 is well connected with TIS, but attempts to write through it, memory cards, success did not. Having started to study the problem, I found the following that through the card reader in your laptop works, and through TIS not. And that’s what this difference is expressed: the fact that the card reader work with cards with 3.3 Volts and 5.0 Volts. And that is what is written in the instructions to the Tech 2, the photo shows.
In the end, I checked everything with me in the presence of a memory card, here is their photo:

As a conclusion, until I found how to solve this problem, it is best card to rewrite only through the card reader in the laptop. Another way to try to lower the voltage in the Obd2 scan tool Tech 2 so that it more accurately worked with credit cards, there is a successful experiment, but there are very few tests that were carried out and what it may cause, or to try to slightly modify these memory cards.
Just want to try another experiment, but I still havent for it is only necessary, as only something I can do, or find a better solution will be described later.

What can I do with a GM Tech2 on Chevrolet C5

This is a write-up for those with a GM Tech 2 Scan Tool on Chevrolet C5

Tech 2 scanner is a diagnostic tool for the most part. It can be used to program out/in certain RPO’s in the BCM and can be used to bleed the ABS brake system without introducing air into the system. The extent to which it can be used to tune a Chevrolet C5 is that if you have a PCM Image that will work for your car you can save the current PCM Image and flash the new one you have onto the PCM. It cannot go in and individually change the tuning tables in the PCM as can say either EFI Live or HP Tuners tuning tools. But then those tools cannot touch the BCM either.

If you do or plan to do a lot of Professional Diagnostic Tool work on your car it can be a worthwhile tool. Most of the diagnostic charts in the factory service manual assume the availability of a Tech 2. But you have to learn to use the tool like any other computerized diagnostic tool. It has layers and layers of menus to wade through. But in certain diagnostic situations it can be an invaluable tool because it allows you to turn on and off hundreds of computerized settings to aid in the diagnosis process.

GM intentionally dumbed down the capabilities of the Tech 2 to change things to avoid law suits due to an errant technician that changed engine or emissions settings that could result in engine damage or emissions violations.

GM Tech2, the bi-directional scan tool can access all the 10 computers in the c5 corvette. That means it can scan for DTC codes, allow the adding or removing of most accessory codes like turning off the mag ride shocks to install regular schocks, fixing window regulator problems, etc. For Bi-directional it can active the ABS system to flush the brake fluid, reset the Long Term Fuel Trims, eliminate the 1-4 shift on manual trans, etc. It cannot make changes (like a tune tool) to the transmission or engine management system. For the avid DIY’er it is a great tool.
In the C5, the “computers” (technically they are modules) and they communicate over the OBDII compatible DLC data bus to each other. The range from you radio to your ride control, to your HVAC system. Even the Bose head unit talks to the PCM and BCM through this bus, but the CD changer talks over a “private” data bus to the head unit.

The Sensor Modules that can be pulled up from the DIC are:
PCM, BCM, TCS, RTD, IPC, HVAC, LDCM, RDCM, SCM, RFA, and SDM.
Only those C5’s with RPO F45 or F55 will have RTD.

A: Coding G series is with ESYS. I think you need pro launcher from Tokenmaster. It was written somewhere on the forum but maybee you can ask Tokenmaster.

A: I have successfully coded G-series. You need Pro Launcher.

Q: Do we know if it’s possible at all to code the G-series?

A: Coding is possible with E-SYS, but problem is the mapping/trimmed CAFD’s on new ECU’s. But for excisting ECU’s not a problem (BDC_BODY, NBT2, ACSM etc.)

Q: Can I code G11 with Esys?

A: Tried to code G11 today.

My I-level is S15A-16-07-506, used data 5.94.

I found S15A target in Esys.

A: This is not possible. Token and activation code are valid for 1 PC only. This is how it works: you ask Token Master, he sends token, you install Launcher Pro with the token, Launcher generates request code, you send it to Token Master, he sends you activation code in response.

A: E-Sys:

Q: Which tool for G series?

A: I’m perfectly aware what ICOM Next from OBD2TOOL is and I have it.

Icom next runs a gigabyte lan port. So if router and laptop also running gigabyte ports you increase speed, that’s only if the car and software allow it.

Also the Icom next is faster for G series cars which I suspect also have gigabyte Ethernet bus.

Also it has USB3.0 instead of USB2.0 and a better wifi card.

A: Any icom will work , but to be safe with f,g,i series vehicles , use a dedicated router as kafas huh and a few other modules will crash if you do not use a router it handles the switches for Ethernet as those modules use more than 1 path way , in short it uses all 4 two pair wires and without router not good , this has worked for me for some time now good luck. note my router does not connect to wan

A: Flashed all Cars with BMW ICOM Next and Online Aos with DHCP over Router. Since that i have Never any Problems with NBT or other. Flash E/F/G with this Setup.

Note that Online Aos is the online version of the BMW software for Diagnostic, Programming any many other things.

Q: How to do G30 coding?

A: BMW G30 has a quite a lot of differences in ECU, so wanted to share my findings here.

Note:

– This is Not a comprehensive list of options But options that are unique from options standard across the recent models.

– Read SVT does Not work, use Read ECU instead.

– Ensure vehicle engine is running before you press Read ECU button otherwise you won’t get the full list of ECUs.

I bought “Original Clone Xentry Connect C5” from China’s retail store Obd2tool.com in 2017/12.

Good thing:

1. Unlike bad products of C5 type C4 motherboard, texture is good
2. DoIP specification

Bad thing:

1. Because it is VM system + 32bit, the reaction is slow (SSD though …)
2. Vediamo can be used, but feeling like driving with DELL D 630 (unsuitable)
3. The DTS Monaco software is installed but the connection with the vehicle is NG (currently retail stores and manufacturer engineers are thinking about how to fix it)
4. Passwords are applied to each drive, making it hard to customize
5. Retail shops and manufacturer engineers lack knowledge (take time to support)

My thoughts

I think purchasing this product is still early.

There are too many trouble elements.

I’ll report it when the situation changes.

What I currently use (stable and comfortable)
