What do you think about Autel MaxiSys Elite?

Zach Davis Said: “Moved up from the Autel Maxisys Pro MS908P. The docking station is nice since I can leave it on my toolbox all day. the screen is a million times better than the 908p and it also has more memory. This thing is faster than the 908P in boot up time and also navigation through the menus and connecting to the vehicles. This comes with the newest J2534 which is smaller than the one with the 908P and also has no antenna. Ive used it to code a few cars and also with my Laptop to flash a few different makes of vehicles. You just need to make sure to install the right software. If your a professional this is the tool for you. my snap on versus stays in the toolbox 99% of the time now that I have this”.

stuzman Said: “I’m a shade tree mechanic that needed something more powerful than the basic code readers. I used it to reset adaptations and do a quick learn on a transmission in a Chrysler Pacifica and it worked great. This has a lot of functions for the money”.

Hannah Kennedy Said: “The Maxisys Elite met my needs and was able to communicate with all of the vehicles that I own. I compared it to my Tech 2 scanner and the same functionality was built within this tool. And the bi-directional controls were the same and worked flawlessly. It’s a very capable tool with lots of features such as reprogramming keys, fobs, modules and being able to communicate wirelessly with the vehicle”.

Alex3lizondo Said: “I’ve been a tech for almost 8 years and this is the best hands down scan tool. I recently owned the autel ds708 for a number of years and did me great for the time. I wanted to upgrade to a newer model. So far it’s been good with communicating with all make and models. Shows multiple scan data pids, good graphing of o2 sensors. A fourth of a price for a snap on versus and still has more functions besides the lab scope. I work with another technician and he still needs to borrow my scan tool at times”.

Carlos Zapata Said: “The Autel Scanner does so much and for the inexpensive price, is a steal. From programming keys, resetting PCM’s, adaptive learning and bi-directional controls. Customer service on the other hand is awful. I bought the tool and could not get in touch with anyone to save my life. Customer service is key no matter the product and Autel needs to learn this. Furthermore, for those who do not know, you do not have to be plugged into a power source when connected to an OBD2 port. In addition, if you copy the files from the SD card to another upgraded 16GB 80 plus MBPS, pids and information will load faster; if you delete the vehicles you will never work on or see, it will be even faster. It is not a scan tool though, it is a diagnostic analysis machine and it will take awhile to load parameters and control, because it is preparing for a command state where the tool becomes an actuator. Blah Blah Blah you get the idea, great tool for diagnostics and people who seldomly need to reset PCM or program modules, for those who replace a lot of Computers such as the PCM,ECM, TCM….. go with the upgraded MAXISYS. For the prices, you will surely be impressed with the capabilities and to choose a different tool, you will spend no less than 500 plus or more than the maxidas. Hope this helps someone looking into the tool.”
