How to active JLR-IMMO OBD Key Programmer

Lonsdor JLR-IMMO New users are required to register, bind and activate the device for the first use. After activation , you can use the device functions.

Users who’ve bound Lonsdor product, can directly enter Email and password to login, no need to register again.

1 Register for website

Input name: fill in user name

Set password: input min 6-digit login password

Confirm password: reconfirm the login password

Input Email: fill in registered email address

Input verification code: click【Get verification code】, then input the correct code.

Registration code: after device boot, click A (Enter), there is instruction on activation operation, registration code will show.

How to Troubleshoot a 1995 Mercedes C-280 Engine

When the engine of your 1995 Mercedes C280 is experiencing difficulties, it tells you of a problem or problems that need to be fixed. Although every problematic scenario is different, there are common troubleshooting tricks concluded by predecessors to handle known issues of the C280 engines. With some specialized tools, for example, an OBD scanner and being aware of the basic diagnostic methods can save you both time and money.

Instructions
1. Drive your Mercedes up on a set of car ramps and use a flashlight to inspect as much of the electrical harness wiring as possible. Most Mercedes-Benz vehicles manufactured between 1993 and 1997 have been known for having a faulty electrical harness that have caused fires or stalling out and loss of power while driving. If the wiring harness begins to disintegrate or degrade, have the entire harness replaced, as the problem will only continue to worsen, increasing the risk of driving the vehicle.
2. Disconnect the negative cable from your Mercedes C280 car battery and remove the throttle body hose clamp with a screwdriver. The throttle body is located between the intake manifold and the air filter cabin. Wearing rubber gloves and safety glasses spray throttle-body cleaner into the air duct and use gentle brushing to dislodge any grime present in the component. If you hear cracking sounds coming from the throttle body when cold-starting the C280, you may need to replace the entire throttle body if the cleaner does not improve its performance.
3. Use an OBD II scanner to check the Mercedes-Benz engine troubleshoot codes. Locate the C280’s OBD II terminal, which is located at the bottom left part of the steering column and plug in the OBD2 Scanner. Turn on the OBD II scanner and turn the ignition to the accessories position. Record the codes from the OBD II scanner and look them up on websites such as AutoZone or OBD II Codes.
4. Test electrical connections leading to any sensors that come up on the OBD II scanner before replacing the sensors themselves. Turn the ignition key to the “On” position without cranking the engine and apply the probes of a multimeter, set to voltage, to the electrical harness connection. If the connection reads between 4.0 and 5.0 volts, then the sensor needs replacement.
5. Clean your MAF (mass air flow) sensor if you are experiencing rough idling or stalling out. Disconnect the MAF sensor, which is located between the air filter cabin and the throttle body, by using a Torx screwdriver. Unplug the connector and clean it with MAF cleaner. Allow the MAF sensor to air dry before reinserting it into the MAF housing. Replace the MAF with a new sensor if the engine continues to run poorly.
6. Use a computer with internet access to look for potential problems through TSBs (technical service bulletins) or recalls. Currently, as of 2011, there are no recalls on the Professional Diagnostic Tool 1995 C280. However, there are 56 TSB summaries, which could help point out areas to troubleshoot when experiencing problems with your Mercedes.

Is this same or old version of the icarscan?

It’s basically the same OBD-II Bluetooth device – but the software supplied with it is different – and the way it’s sold is different.

That one is without ANY vehicle/manufacturer specific diagnostics capability. As delivered it will do just OBD-II and some ABS diagnostics. Generic OBD-II. It won’t read the 30 or so modules in your Cayenne.

To get it to do that – you have to purchase the software for Porsche – which includes ALL Porsche cars. As someone mentioned – that’s about another $50, so you’re in at about $100 to JUST read Porsche codes. If you want additional vehicle manufacturers (all your cars aren’t Porsches) – each manufacturer will cost you another $50. So – the adaptor and 2 cars costs the same as the ICarScan one – which includes in the $158/price – the ability to choose 5 different car manufacturers.

Which is best for you? Dunno. At the time I bought mine – the Launch X431 Scan Tool (made by the company that writes the software running on the ICarScan) wasn’t readily available.

I only know one person who bought the one from Launch – and he seems happy with it. If you notice – there are versions of it available for around $80 that include 2 vehicle manufacturer’s diagnostics. That’s not a bad deal either.

I haven’t worked with that tool, and haven’t tried the ICarScan VCI. I know from seeing it – the software has some differences from the ICarScan software. Dunno if the differences are simply cosmetic or significant. If someone wants to buy one and send it to me I could do a side by side comparison. That might be interesting.

So that’s why not-really and no. But sorta…

Lonsdor K518ISE Abnormal Display After Upgrade Solution

Here’s the working solution to Lonsdor K518ISE Key Programmer abnormal display after upgrade.

Problem: Click “Immobilizer” button after updating the device, it skips to below interface:

Step 1: After rebooting the device, please press and hold the setting and return buttons(in below red box) simultaneously for few seconds..

Step 2: The following interface appears, please click “uninstall APK” button in the red box, and wait for few seconds.
